Hints – Basics
- Hints – Need Help? Check out Hints in the Extras Tab of the Holoprojector. H1-NT, the helpful droid found near each landing pad, will let you know whenever new hints are available.
- Options – Visit the options menu found on the Pause Screen to chance various game settings relating to Gameplay, Controls, Audio, Display and more.
- Accessibility – Visit the Accessibility Options found on the Pause Screen to change various settings relating to text side, screen effects, and control inputs that can make your experience with the game more comfortable.
- Co-op: Dropping In/Out – Press any button on a second controller or F2 on the keyboard to have another player join your game in co-op! When Player 2 is ready for a break, they can open the pause many and select Drop Out to let Player 1 continue solo.
- Movement – Use WASD to move your character and explore the galaxy!
- Camera – Use the mouse to control the camera and look around while exploring the galaxy! (if the directions feel the wrong way round, you can adjust them in Pause> Options>Gameplay Options)
- Ship Movement – When piloting a ship in space, hold Spacebar to speed up and use WASD to turn. You can also use the mouse to roll and press R to set your ship upright if you ever forget which way is up! (if the directions feel the wrong way round, you can adjust them in Pause> Options>Gameplay Options)
- Jumping – Press Spacebar to jump. Certain characters can double jump by pressing Spacebar again while in the air.
- Melee Attacking & Combos – Press Q to melee attack. During combat, combine Normal Attack (Q), Heavy Attack (E), and Jump (Spacebar) attacks to create different combos. Perform different combos to earn stud bonuses!
- Aiming and Shooting – Hold (Right Mouse Button) to aim your blaster (or other ranged weapons), and press (Left Mouse Button) to shoot. While aiming, you can press (Spacebar) while holding any direction with WASD to perform a dodge in that direction. (if the directions feel the wrong way round, you can adjust them in Pause> Options>Gameplay Options)
- Changing Characters – Press (Left)/(Right) to bring up the Character Bar and select a character, then press (Spacebar) to chance to them. You can also quickly change with (Left Ctrl)/(Left Alt)
- Character Classes – Every character you play is assigned to a class based on their abilities. Class icons are shown next to the character’s name at the top of the screen, and when changing to another on the character bar:
- Jedi
- Hero
- Scavenger
- Scoundrel
- Bounty Hunter
- Villain
- Darkside
- Astromech Droid
- Protocol Droid
- Extra
*Look out for these icons as you explore to help pick the right character for the job! (Check the Abilities section of this menu to learn more about what each class can do.)
- Objective Markers – Head towards the marker on your screen to reach your current objective. The handy number below the marker shows how far away it is! If you can’t see a direct route to the objective in ground areas, let the waypoint arrows guide you!
- Objective Text – Your current Objective is always shown in the top corner of your screen.
There are lots of fun distractions in the galaxy, so check your Objective if you ever forget what you were doing! (This can be adjusted or disabled in Pause> Options > Display Options)
- Objective Waypoint Arrows – A Waypoint Arrow will always appear in ground locations to guide you to your current Objective.
If you ever lose your way, just follow the arrow! (These can be disabled in Pause > Options > Display Options) - Minimap – Check the Minimap in the bottom corner of your screen for the location of collectables such as Kyber Bricks, Characters, Ships, and Datacards, as well as your current Objective and many other useful things! (These can be adjusted or disabled in Pause > Options > Display Options)
- Continue Story – Walk into a glowing story point to continue the story of the current episode.
- Galaxy Travel – Travel to any location you’ve visited instantly by opening the Holoprojector(TAB) and selecting it with (Spacebar) from the Galaxy Map.
- Speech Bubbles – Characters with a Speech Bubble above their head can be spoken to by Pressing E.
Many of these offer the reward shown in their bubble for completing Missions, others have useful Rumors about your objectives and other missions… and the rest are just like Chat! - Story Party – During key Story events, the playable party is temporarily locked to important characters and cannot be changed. Continue the story to unlock Free Play!
- Free Play Party – In between important Story events, you can freely swap characters in Free Play mode!
Take these opportunities to search the galaxy for Kyber Bricks, new Characters, and more! - Free Play: Overview – In between important Story moments, you are free to roam the galaxy in Free Play!
In this mode, you can use any of the characters you’ve unlocked to explore any previously-visited location.
Completed levels can also be revisited in Free Play allowing you to collect any Minikits you may have missed! - Free Play: Character Bar – In Free Play, the character bar contains a character from every class, allowing you to quickly switch to the one you need.
Press (Up) to open the full Characters tab instead, and choose from any of the characters you’ve unlocked! - Free Play: Character Tab – In Free Play, you can switch to any character you’ve unlocked by opening the Holoprojector and using (Left Ctrl)/(Left Alt) to select the Characters tab.
You can also open straight to this tab by pressing (Up) for quick access! - Free Play: Changing Ships – While exploring space in Free Play, you can change your ship by opening the Holoprojector and using (Left Ctrl)/(Left Alt) to select the Ships tab.
- Checking Game Progress – The Pause Menu is a great place to check on your progress, showing how many collectables you’ve found in your current area.
You can also press F on this screen to view game totals instead. Rumour has it something special happens when you reach 100%… - New Missions Notifications – As you progress through the story, look out for a message saying “New Missions Unlocked” on the right-hand side of the screen.
As you’d expect, this handy notification lets you know when there’s something new to do, as well as where to find it!
Press (Tab) while the notification is on-screen to see more information. - Notification Shortcuts – As you unlock characters, progress through missions and find new information, Notifications will appear in the middle of the screen to keep you updated.
If “More Info(Tab)” displays next to the notification, pressing the button/key will allow you to view more details in the Holoprojector.
